Description

Rack and pinion pneumatic actuator with a limit switch box is a type of actuator commonly used in industrial applications to regulate and control the movement of equipment, machinery, and processes. It is primarily composed of a rack and pinion system, a pneumatic element, and a limit switch box.The rack and pinion system consists of a pinion gear and a toothed rack that mesh together. When the pinion gear rotates, the rack moves linearly, providing the necessary motion to the controlled equipment. The pneumatic element is mostly composed of a piston, which is accelerated by compressed air or gas, and a cylinder, which houses the piston. The compressed air or gas is used to move the piston and generate the necessary force to move the rack and pinion system.The limit switch box is connected to the actuator and allows the operator to monitor and control the movement of the equipment or machinery. The switch box contains switches that detect when the rack and pinion system reaches certain positions, triggering an action, like stopping the equipment or altering the flow of materials.Overall, the rack and pinion pneumatic actuator with a limit switch box is an essential component for controlling complex industrial processes and machines. All actuators manufactured by HEARKEN are individually tested. Testing is carried out to check the leakage in both internal and external. The angle of rotation and Torque values. All bodies are stamped with year, month of production, size and serial number.
